Very difficult to remain gloomy when listening to Bechet...LOL...have a lot of his music on my player here and Ray has lots more CDs in his collection...and a fair old pile of Satchmo too...

That's a rather special piece of music and utterly brilliant in it's own way. Interestingly, I heard that first at the house of a friend of my dad's who bought every album that the NME gave 5/5 stars to, and a Bechet album with this on it was so rated. I don't remember what the album was, but this version of Summertime stands proudly in my memory. Thanks for playing it.
